Anytime, Anywhere

I offer an online service on Skype for all ages and ability levels.  I have found teaching in this format in many ways as effective as in person lessons.  Skype allows for recording calls which has been a useful tool for providing end of lesson summeries that can be accessed during weekly practise.

For all Online lesson enquires I offer a free of charge 10 minute test call to see if we have a good online connection.   Here are a few tips that in my experience are helpful to maximise time and get the most out of online sessions:

  • A wired Internet connection - Though it is still possible to use wifi this will achieve the best and most consistent results for video call connection.

  • The Correct angle - For me to effectively judge how you're progressing I need to see the full Guitar and both of your hands in shot.

  • Noise cancelling turned off - The video calling software will occasinally detect the sound of the Guitar and perceive it as background noise.  This can be changed in the Audio & Video settings menu.

  • General Readiness - Having your Guitar tuned and any equipment you need set up and ready can really help us start a session on the right track.
